PopUpCop's Look and Feel settings allow you to change how PopUpCop presents itself and how it behaves when detecting and suppressing annoyances.
Show slider on toolbar
This options controls if the Irritation Level Slider appears on the PopUpCop Toolbar in Internet Explorer. Turning it on shows the slider and turning it off hides the slider. When the Irritation Level Slider is hidden you can change the individual annoyance settings using the Setting and Actions menu ().
Show text on toolbar
This options controls if the PopUpCop toolbar shows the word PopUpCop at the beginning of the toolbar. The text makes it easy to find the PopUpCop toolbar, however, turning this option off saves space on the Internet Explorer toolbar.
Show Original Settings level
This option adds an Irritation Level to the slider called Original and Disabled Settings. This Irritation Level represents the original Internet Explorer settings at the time PopUpCop was installed. This is the same as Disabling PopUpCop except that you can still view the annoyances that PopUpCop found by hovering over the annoyance indicator.
Allow list applies to Flash and other active blocks
Normally, the Allow list only applies to Popups. This options tells PopUpCop to also allow other annoyances for Allow list sites.
Click on slider edges change level
This option controls how the Irritation-level slider responds to mouse clicks. By default, you must grab the slider tab and move it to the position you desire. This is because accidental clicks on the slider could cause all open browsers to refresh. If you want to be able to click anywhere on the slider control to change the current irritation level then turn this option on.
This option allows you to control how many popup windows are remembered. The default is 50 and can be set anywhere from 0 to 500. To see the list of recently suppressed popups, select Show me recently suppressed popups from the PopUpCop main menu.
Log all new windows.
This option controls whether PopUpCop logs all new Internet Explorer windows or just those blocked by PopupCop.
Enabling this option might help you to determine if there is any "adware" on your computer.
Don't ask me what to clear when clearing the cache
This option controls whether PopUpCop aks you what to clear when you choose Clear cache... from PopUpCop's
PopUpCop's Settings and actions Menu.
Don't tell me what has been cleared when clearing the cache.
This option controls whether PopUpCop tells you what is has cleared when you choose Clear cache... from PopUpCop's
PopUpCop's Settings and actions Menu.
Zap onblur() handlers in <body> tag.
Some Web sites attempt to force their window to the front by responding to the "onblur" event - posted by Internet Explorer
when you try to switch away from the active Window - and setting focus back to their window. If you choose this option, PopUpCop will
override any "onblur" event handlers that it finds in the body tag, and thus prevent the Web site from seizing control of the browser window.
