PopUpCop's Export or Import PopUpCop Settings program enables you to save PopUpCop settings to a file, then restore the settings from that file. You can use this program to back up your PopUpCop settings or to move the settings from machine to machine.

PopUpCop Export or Import Settings

By checking the appropriate check boxes, you can export or import Machine-Relative settings, User-Relative settings, or Allow and block lists:
  • Machine-Relative Settings are those shared by all users of your computer. These include the factory default Irritation levels and your registration information.
  • User-Relative Settings are all other PopUpCop settings, for example, your current irritation level or any other settings in the PopUpCop Options dialog
  • Allow and block lists are your current allow and block lists. These lists are stored per user on versions of Windows that support multiple users.
Click on the Export Settings... button to export the selecting settings to a file. You will be prompted with a standard Windows Save As dialog, with the file name initialized to PopUpCopSettings.xml. If you wish, change the file name or location, then press the Save button to complete the export.

Click on the Import Settings button to import the selecting settings from a file. If one or more Internet Explorer windows is open, you will be aked to close these Internet Explorer windows. Select Yes to continue with the import. You will then be prompted with a standard Windows Open dialog, with the file name initialized to PopUpCopSettings.xml. If you wish, change the file name or location, then press the Open button to complete the import.
